We are Em & JV!

Em and JV Vermeer are the passionate and visionary co-founders of Fueled By Faith, a ministry dedicated to empowering and equipping Christian leaders to step boldly into their God-given purpose. Together, they have built a thriving community where faith, leadership, and service intersect.

Em, with a heart for discipleship and leadership, is driven to inspire women to live fully in the calling God has placed on their lives. She brings a deep passion for faith-based growth, offering wisdom, encouragement, and practical tools to help others walk confidently in their calling. Her dedication to the mission of Fueled By Faith shines through in her leadership and her desire to see women rise and thrive.

JV, a dynamic and compassionate leader, shares Em's vision for raising up leaders who live empowered by the Holy Spirit. With a background in systems, strategy and leadership, JV has a unique ability to cultivate spaces for deep connection, spiritual growth, and lasting impact. He is passionate about seeing individuals develop their faith and leadership skills to make a difference in the world.

Together, Em and JV are leading Fueled By Faith to impact lives, ignite purpose, and build a legacy of Kingdom-focused leadership that multiplies for generations to come. They are dedicated to seeing men and women empowered to serve where they are planted, step out in faith, and overflow with God’s love and truth.

Our Vision:

At Fueled By Faith, our vision is to expand nationally, planting Fueled By Faith chapters across the country and creating a network of empowered Christian leaders who are equipped to live out their calling. We are committed to building a thriving community where individuals can grow in their faith, build deep relationships, and make an impact in their local areas. By opening chapters in various cities, we aim to provide a space for men and women to be encouraged, equipped, and empowered to step boldly into their purpose. As we continue to grow, our goal is to reach communities nationwide, supporting leaders with the tools, resources, and faith-based connection they need to fulfill their God-given potential and bring lasting change to the Kingdom.

Our Story

Fueled By Faith began as a dream sparked by a longing for deeper connection. Em, searching for authentic Christian friendships in networking groups, felt a void where faith-based community should be. When she couldn’t find what she was looking for, a friend spoke a powerful word:

“This is something God will create through you.”

And so, Carolina Collective was born—a membership for Christian business owners. Though the vision was strong, the membership fizzled out, leaving Em burnt out from migraines and losing precious time with family. Everything changed when Em, with a down payment already made for her first conference, found herself on the floor of her office, overwhelmed and at a breaking point. In that moment, God spoke:

“Until you realize this is MORE than a cute Canva graphic, Fueled By Faith is a way of life, it will not be what I have called it to be.”

Em embraced this divine revelation, and just weeks later, 25 women gathered at the conference—held in the middle of a hurricane. God moved powerfully, breathing life into Fueled By Faith, and the vision began to unfold. From there, Fueled By Faith launched a podcast, a membership, and by the following year, the conference grew to over 100 attendees.

What began as a small vision in 2022 has now blossomed into a fully operating ministry organization with chapters across the country. Fueled By Faith is a movement dedicated to empowering, equipping, and encouraging Christian leaders to step boldly into their calling and impact the Kingdom.
